Galveston - Project Implementation Specialist
Job Description: This position is primarily concerned with the successful implementation of all software/hardware projects for the City of Galveston. Work with Technology Services and other City staff on the progress of new technology projects. Assist the city with project implementation. Responsible for the construction of application portals and data flow from the Intranet. Create scripts and write software to perform custom tasks. Creates interfaces between independent software systems.
2 - 4 years experience working with software/hardware implementation projects. Working knowledge of scripting languages. Certifications in scripting and programming are recommended. Bachelor’s degree from four year College or University in related field; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience. Java and .Net experience is required.

Rosenberg - Crime Analyst
Job Description: Individual will be responsible for the maintenance support and operations of the City’s Public Safety and Justice Information software systems. Maintains software and systems, including configurations, systems securities, backups, development of disaster recovery procedures, downloading, and file conversions. Tracks and analyzes crime data, patterns and trends from various sources; develops, evaluates, monitors, updates specialized computer databases of criminal activities. Produces maps, reports and analyses using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other database. Develops and distributes reports; provides technical training to support staff and users.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems or a closely related field; or three (3) years experience in data communications analysis and design, programming systems design and maintenance, operating systems software support, or closely related field.
