Who can submit a Classified Ad?

Any City or Company that has an opening may submit an ad.

How will I know my ad has been sent through?

You will get a Thank You page that says: "Your request has been processed. Thank you for using TML Online." If you do not get this page, but instead get directed back to the submission form, then you probably left out a field. (Always check to make sure your ad got posted)

What about RFP's or Items for Sale? Can they be submitted as well?

We can place ads for RFP's and Items for Sale. For RFP's please select a category for the ad. These will be treated like ad submissions with the same requirements.

What is the cost for the Classified Ad?

If you are a TML Member City, there is no charge. For all other entities, there is a charge of $50 for 35 words or less; 75 cents for each additional word up to the maximum of 150 words.

Are there requirements for submitting a Classified Ad?

For members and non-members alike, please keep the ad to 150 words or less. If your ad is longer than 150 words, TML will edit or return to you for editing. You may want to consider including a link to the ad on your website, i.e., "For complete Job Description, please visit our web site."

Unusual characters, fonts, extra spaces, etc. will not show up in the ad. Also, PLEASE DO NOT USE ALL CAPS - this makes it hard to read.

They are posted for 30 days. The ad will be removed earlier if the Position Closed date is before 30 days.

Do you have any suggestions before I place my Classified Ad?
  • Double check your ad for accuracy and spelling. (Firefox has a built in spell check, Google toolbar for Internet Explorer also has a spell check).
  • If you only use a mailing address, be sure it is complete. Your ad will be see by people statewide, not just in your city.
  • Read your ad after it has been posted to make sure it has what you want. If it has been edited, you'll want to make sure it still has pertinent information listed.
  • After your ad has been posted, click on the links and verify they go where they should.
  • DO NOT USE ALL CAPS. They make for hard reading and will be changed to normal upper/lower case.
