General Information
The 2008 TML Annual Conference and Exhibition will be held at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, located at 200 East Market Street in San Antonio. All events will be held at the convention center unless otherwise noted. The center’s telephone number is 210-207-8500.
The delegate registration fee includes access to all educational sessions (excluding ticketed events), the Wednesday Exhibit Hall Grand Opening, the exhibit hall, and the Thursday TML Risk Pools’ Breakfast, as well as handout materials, a conference bag (provided by AT&T), and refreshment breaks. This year, TML is offering a discount to delegates who register online at www.tml.org. If you register and pay online by September 23, the fee is $225—a savings of $70 (after that date, the online registration fee increases to $295). If you register by mail or fax by September 23, the fee is $250 (the fee increases to $320 after September 23).
A one-day registration option is available to any TML member city official or TML Associate Member who would like to attend Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday activities only. The one-day registration fee includes access to all educational sessions, affiliate board and business meetings, handout materials, a conference bag (provided by AT&T), and the exhibit hall on the specified day. If you complete your one-day registration online, the fee is $150; the fee increases to $175 for those who register by mail or fax.Those who register for Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday only will receive a badge pre-printed with the preferred day identified. Please note that meal functions are not included in the one-day registration fee and must be purchased separately. However, those who register for Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday only cannot register for a ticketed event on a day for which they have not registered.
Lanyards, provided by AshBritt, Inc., will be available for displaying your conference badge. The badge will have a bar code containing your contact information. Exhibitors may ask to scan your badge for this information in order to follow up with you about a product or service. No e-mail addresses are included in the bar code. Those who register for Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday only will receive a badge pre-printed with the preferred day identified.

Tuesday, October 28, 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, October 29, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, October 30, 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday, October 31, 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
If you are registered and cannot attend, we encourage you to send a substitute. If you cannot send a substitute, a $45 registration cancellation fee will be assessed if written cancellation is received by September 23, 2008. No refunds will be honored after September 23, 2008. No telephone cancellations will be accepted. Cancellations in writing may be mailed to TML Annual Conference, 1821 Rutherford Lane, Suite 400, Austin, TX 78754-5128, faxed to 512-231-7495, or e-mailed to acct@tml.org.
There is a guest registration fee of $35. A city official or employee cannot register as a guest. The guest registration fee includes admission to all TML educational sessions (excluding separate, ticketed events), the Wednesday Exhibit Hall Grand Opening, the exhibit hall on Wednesday through Friday, and a conference bag (provided by AT&T).
At the Guest Hospitality Center, you can relax, play board games, visit with friends, browse a variety of items from several vendors, and enjoy light refreshments. The center will be open on both Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Speakers for TML's concurrent sessions were asked to provide their handouts in electronic form to TML. Handouts received in advance of the conference will be posted to TML's Web site for you to download prior to your arrival in San Antonio.
In an effort to reduce paper and lighten the load for attendees, handouts submitted to TML prior to the conference will be available on a CD inside conference bags.
We encourage you to purchase tickets for the following events before September 23. Please indicate on the registration form which meal tickets you want to purchase.

Beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, continuous shuttle transportation service will be provided from the Emily Morgan Hotel, Holiday Inn Riverwalk, Hyatt Regency Hotel, Sheraton Gunter Hotel, and Westin Riverwalk Hotel to the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Service to the center will begin 30 minutes before the scheduled opening of registration and will end 30 minutes after the last scheduled session is completed each day. Please ask the hotel concierge for specific shuttle bus loading and unloading locations.
It is advisable to contact your hotel prior to arrival to determine exact parking rates during your stay.
Parking near the convention center is limited. Surface parking at privately owned lots around the city may not allow in/out privileges, so please be sure to check with lot attendants for specific restrictions. If TML shuttle service is provided for your hotel, it is advisable to take advantage of the shuttle to travel to and from the convention center.
