Solutions for Texas Utilities
The emphasis of the Texas Municipal Utilities Association is the management and direction of municipal utilities, including the special relationship city managers, members of governing bodies, and boards of directors have with municipal utilities. The TMUA Annual Conference is a forum where members can learn from each other and benefit from their interaction with other municipal utility managers in Texas.
Conference sessions will include information on meeting current and future regulations and leveraging technology to better operate utilities. Other sessions will provide valuable information that can be of assistance to utility professionals in meeting the increasing demands of their customers.

General Information
The 2010 TMUA Annual Conference will be held at the Brushy Creek Community Center, located at 16318 Great Oaks Drive in Round Rock, Texas.
The Marriott Round Rock Hotel, located at 2600 La Frontera Blvd. in Round Rock has extended a room rate of $139 single/ double occupancy. In order to receive this discounted rate, your reservation must be made by January 13, 2010. Please call the Marriott Round Rock directly at 1-800-865-0546 or 512-733-6767 and refer to the TMUA Annual Conference room block.
TMUA members are eligible for a reduced registration fee if you register by January 13. After January 13, the registration fee increases.

If you are registered and cannot attend, we encourage you to send a substitute. If you cannot send a substitute, a $45 registration cancellation fee will be assessed if written cancellation is received by January 13, 2010. No refunds will be honored after January 13, 2010.
Conference badges will be mailed in advance. Name badges are required for admittance to the workshop. PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR BADGE TO THE CONFERENCE.
An application will be submitted to TCEQ for continuing education certification. If it is approved, a sign-in sheet will be available at the conference registration desk, and a certificate of attendance will be mailed after the event. In order to receive credit, you must provide your TCEQ license number.
Elected officials (mayors and councilmembers) can earn Texas Municipal League Institute (TMLI) credits for attending this workshop. Forms will be available on site. For further information on the TMLI program, please call us at 512-231-7400, or log on to the TML Web site at www.tml.org.

If there is enough interest, we will tour the Brushy Creek MUD Plant. Transportation will be provided. Please indicate on the registration form if you would like to participate.
The golf outing will be held at Avery Ranch Golf Club, located at 10500 Avery Club Drive in Austin. The fee is $75 and includes green fee, cart fee, range balls, and prizes. For further information on the golf outing, contact Ed Hansen at cm@atnden.com or 806-659-2524. Transportation is on your own. If you are participating in the golf outing, please provide your handicap or average score on the registration form. Proper golf attire and soft spikes are required.
