TEXAS HOMELAND SECURITY CONFERENCE SET FOR SAN ANTONIO DECEMBER 3-7, 2007
The 2007 Texas Homeland Security Conference will be held December 3-7 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio.
The conference is sponsored by the Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and the Governor’s Division of Emergency Management. Conference participants will include professionals from the full spectrum of organizations and agencies that exemplify Texas homeland security goals: prevention, protection, response and recovery.
The conference brings together representatives of law enforcement, border security and port security, transportation, and cyber security, as well as firefighters, emergency medical personnel, Texas military forces, voluntary organizations, and private sector representatives.
Attendees also will include officials from higher education, public education, and health and medical care, along with public officials from the local, state, and national governments. Representatives of more than 30 state agencies on the Governor’s Emergency Management Council and federal officials also will attend.
