Pension Review Board Proposes Pension Provider Training
Pursuant to H.B. 13, passed in 2013, the Texas Pension Review Board has proposed new training requirement rules for public retirement system pension administrators and trustees. The training includes seven hours in the first year an individual holds the position and four hours each year thereafter.
Training topics will include, among other things: (1) fiduciary matters; (2) governance; (3) ethics; (4) investments; (5) actuarial matters; (6) benefits administration; and (7) risk management.
