David Harris
David J. Harris serves as one of two Assistant City Administrators of the City and reports to the City Manager. He has served the City since October 2006. Prior to arriving at Schertz in October 2006, he served for six years as City Administrator of Hill Country Village. Before that, he served as the Grants Manager and Budget/Management Analyst at Bexar County and as Operations Manager-Juneau and Station Manager-Valdez for Holland America Line/Westours.
David received his Masters in Science in Urban Administration from Trinity University in 1997 and his Bachelors in Arts in American Studies from Whitworth College, Spokane, WA in 1991.
David is a member of the International City/County Management Association, Texas City Management Association and the Government Officers Finance Association. He is a past president of the Texas City Management Association-Region 8.
