twdb opens applications for flood mitigation assistance grants
The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) announced the availability of $800 million in Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grants and is currently accepting applications. The FMA grant program under the Federal Emergency Management Agency, provides federal funding to states and cities to pay for cost-effective ways to reduce or eliminate the long-term risk of flood damage to repetitive loss and severe repetitive loss structures that are insured under the National Flood Insurance Program.
TWDB will accept applications until December 2, 2022. Interested city officials can find more information here.
