Governor’s Office Seeking Information on ADA Coordinators
The governor’s office is seeking contact information for each Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) coordinator in the state. (Federal law requires a city with 50 or more employees to designate at least one responsible employee to coordinate ADA compliance. The requirement does not apply to cities with fewer than 50 employees.)
The purpose of gathering the contact information in one location is to be able to refer individuals to the appropriate coordinator and eventually provide networking and problem-solving opportunities to ADA coordinators throughout the state.
