ATTORNEY GENERAL’S PUBLIC INFORMATION ACT
ELECTRONIC FILING SYSTEM NOW AVAILABLE

A city that seeks a decision from the attorney general about whether public information is excepted from public disclosure is now able to submit the request and related information electronically. The cost for an electronically-submitted request for an attorney general decision is $25, plus a $5 administrative fee. 

Alternatives to the e-filing system, including submission by mail or in person, are still available.  Detailed information about the new e-filing system, including a frequently asked questions page and a link to related rules, is available at https://www.oag.state.tx.us/open/efiling.shtml.
